Black History Month - February 2026

Newhart is celebrating Black History Month all February with fun and meaningful activities that honor the history, culture, and contributions of people of African ancestry. Students will enjoy art projects with Ms. Powell, scavenger hunts, trivia, a tribute to the arts, and a Jollof Rice tasting.

We are seeking parent volunteers to help support our Joloff Rice tasting event on Friday, February 27th. Volunteers will assist with event setup, help facilitate activities, support students as needed, and help with clean up.
